Students Love Custom Lanyard

Most students love having a Custom lanyard because they make their lives a whole lot simpler. College ID and the Lanyard... these are two words that are starting to go together like “toast and jam” or “peas in a pod”. No student should be without a lanyard. If you do not understand the practical application that a student has for the lanyard allow me to explain a little bit about the life of a college student on campus.

The ID card is virtually the student’s whole world. Without an ID card, the student cannot function. Students are not permitted to freely walk around on many campuses. Due to all the problems and security issues, many areas of the campus require that a student have their ID with them. This restriction applies to dorms, classrooms and the library. On some campuses the movements of students at night is even more strictly monitored and if you are on a campus after a certain hour you must be able to show ID.

In the dorm, students are often required to have their cards with them to move around. The main doors to the dorm are normally locked at all times but some colleges have even taken to locking the laundry room and the mailroom. Any student who needs to access these rooms must have a card with them.

Students who decide that they want to be a member of the college meal program can do so; however, they must have their card with them at the cafeteria. The college encodes the information regarding the student’s meal plan right into their ID card. For students this can be a good thing, they no longer are required to have a separate card for their meal plan. All a student is required to do is to swipe their ID card while they are in the cafeteria and they can get their food and the card makes all the necessary deductions.

Cities have even begun to get on the college ID plan. Many students who do not live right on campus commute to and from the college by bus or other public transportation. In an effort to help students and promote the use of public transit, cities are encoding the pass right onto the student’s ID card. This is a huge benefit for college students; they no longer have to worry about having the right amount of change every day or of having to find their bus pass. All they need is the one card and they can ride the bus whenever they need to get to class or get back home.

The obvious downside of this whole system is for the student who forgets their ID. As has been clearly shown any student who does not have ID will have trouble not only taking out a book from the school library but they may not be able to get into their room. They may even have difficulty getting a meal or of finding an alternative way to get home. This is the main reason why students love the Custom lanyard.

A Custom lanyard is normally worn around a person’s neck. By having their ID around their neck at all times there is far less chance of the ID being stolen or misplaced. The ID card really is a student’s lifeline and a lanyard helps to make certain that they never forget it.
